Come again? It looks like former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg's inaccurate comments didn't pass by gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez.
DENVER - Today, buffalo rancher and proven business leader, Bob Beauprez, spoke out against former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's arrogant, condescending and ignorant comments on Colorado.
In the July 8th Rolling Stone, Michael Bloomberg said:
“In Colorado, we got a law passed. The NRA went after two or three state Senators in a part of Colorado where I don't think there's roads. It's as far rural as you can get. And, yes, they lost recall elections. I'm sorry for that. We tried to help 'em. But the bottom line is, the law is on the books, and being enforced.”
After reading Bloomberg’s condescending remarks, Bob Beauprez responded:
“Just for the record, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Jefferson County all have roads. I just traveled them. Michael Bloomberg’s infuriatingly ignorant remarks show how far removed he is from Colorado, and how wrong John Hickenlooper was to let Bloomberg force his radical agenda on Colorado.
“It’s pathetic a New York City Mayor had more influence in our governor’s office than our state’s sheriffs.
“Last year, we had surrogate Governor Michael Bloomberg. Now this year it’s apparently surrogate Governor Jared Polis. And when the push comes to shove from Washington, it’s always surrogate Governor Obama. That’s wrong. When one person dictates to the governor of a state just because of the size of his wallet and his own personal agenda, that’s wrong.
“We need a governor who will stand up for ALL of Colorado and lead.”
