Folks, this is big. Beauprez leads Hickenlooper for the first time. The momentum is behind us, now let's charge forward to November!
Beauprez's unifying message of creating a stronger Colorado certainly seems to be resonating with voters, even Independents.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez are virtually tied in the governor's race, says a new poll issued a day after a different survey showed Hickenlooper with a 6-percentage-point lead.
The Quinnipiac University poll, released Wednesday, shows Republican challenger Beauprez favored by 44 percent of the state's voters, and Democratic incumbent Hickenlooper by 43 percent -- within the survey's 2.9 percent margin of error.
Independents are split, 41 percent for Beauprez, 40 percent for Hickenlooper, the survey indicates.
The survey shows that fewer voters view the incumbent favorably, and more know enough about the challenger to form an opinion about him, than when Quinnipiac last polled state voters, in April, before the state's June primary narrowed the Republican field.
In the latest survey, 43 percent of voters said they view Hickenlooper favorably, versus 51 percent in April.
