The online courses the Colorado Secretary of State's Office offers to state employees and customers were judged the best in the country for IDEAS — Innovation, Dedication, Excellence and Achievement in Service — by the National Association of Secretaries of State Tuesday.

"Our e-learning program takes proven technology and uses it in creative ways to serve our customers," Secretary of State Scott Gessler said in a statement.

"We want to be a partner in our customers' success; whether you are starting a business, raising money for a charity or running successful elections, we are here to help."

Finalists for the award were Nevada's Digital Operating Agreement Application, Oregon's Records Management Solution and South Dakota's TotalVote Election Management System.
