Sen. Harry Reid says he will not seek reelection in 2016, bringing an end to a decades-long career in Congress.
The former majority leader says becoming minority leader after Democrats lost control of the Senate had nothing to do with his decision, the New York Times reports. He said that he did not want to make use of Democratic funding to be reelected when that money could be better used in other races, citing states like Maryland and Pennsylvania.
